Movie: Bunny Kill 3

Wow, what a movie. This little animation is very well made. It feels bad enjoying this movie, but trust me, it's very good. It reminds me of those stick figure movies that were floating around the web.

Gaming: Ultimate Spider-Man

I've seen the E3 trailer of this game and I have to say it's the first time I'm excited about a Spidey game.

Just having the ability of playing Venom is great! Now you can be THE villain in the Spider-Man universe. And the graphics are really cool. This game really looks like you are in a comic book.

You can go see the website for this game here.

Science: Floating Lab To Monitor Oceans

This is really cool, a French marine architect Jacques Rougerie has designed a floating research lab called the Sea Orbiter. It should see it's first mission in 2008 or 2009.

Oh well, you learn something new everyday.

Movies: Time Top 100 Movies

Time has a list of the top 100 movies of all time. Looking at the list, there are a lot of old movies (before I was born) and there are no Godzilla movie... At least they have Star Wars.

Here is the list of movies.

Review: Unleashed

Well, tonight I decided to go see a movie and the only one that was playing at the time was "Unleashed". I've wanted to see this movie, maybe not at the theater but anyways.

I'll let you know right now, this is a good movie, very good. This movie is violent, when I was watching it, it reminded me of Ong-Bak. The hits look like they really hurt and you can actually imagine the pain they bring.

It's a touching story about a man that was brought up like an attack dog who then discovers what family and love really is. I loved Morgan Freeman in this movie, it's a perfect role for him, being a father and mentor to Jet Li's character. I have to say, Jet Li was quite good in this movie, in one seen, he actually uses puppy eyes to try and get his "master" to forgive him.

This movie surprised me, I was expecting a B movie instead I got an A movie. It's a shame as this movie will pass under the radar and a lot of people will not get the chance to see an original movie.

Verdict: A-

Gaming: The Battle Of The Consoles

Now that E3 is finish, the internet has been widely active comparing the specs between the XBox 360 and the PS3. At E3, I believe PS3 had the biggest hype. Was it all real, I do not know. I try to be objective about all this, but it's hard to find the facts in this sea of speculation and number manipulation that both sides have been doing. At first glance, the PS3 looks way more powerful than the XBox 360. But yesterday, I found this blog from a XBox live team employee who had different numbers showing that the XBox 360 is more powerful than the PS3.

Who's telling the truth and who's lying? Who knows, probably they are both lying and in the end there won't be much different between the two. But one thing I can say, Microsoft, in my opinion, had a better presentation, showing not just the power of the machine, but the other services as well, like XBox Live, the connectivity with other devices. The new XBox Live, with a free service, I think will make a big difference. Personally, I never joined XBox Live, but having part of the system free out of the box, I just love it!

Sony will have to do a lot to match up to the online play, and personally, I don't think they can.

Personal: Still In San Diego

Well yes, somehow I'm still stuck in San Diego. Not that I'm complaining, it's really nice and hot here, compared to Montreal, where it's raining and cold. But I'm almost up to half a month here and I'm starting to miss my bed.

And you know, eating at the restaurant is fun the first week, but after that, you kinda miss the "home cooking".

Oh well, I hope that I'll be back by Saturday.

Movie: V For Vendetta Shun By Alan Moore

This is disturbing news. Is it because the movie sucks or is it because he doesn't want to support movies made from his work?

Who knows.

Cool: Google Map Traffic?

This is a nice little hack which uses information on Traffic.com and adds it to the google map. So you can have traffic information and see it with the satellite photos. It only has a couple of American cities but the fun things is that it has San Diego so every morning I check it to see the traffic.

Very cool.

Personal: San Diego

Hello all, I made it to San Diego. It looks like a nice city but I'm kinda surprise to see that it's not that big... I was expecting bigger. It's almost the same size as Montreal. It was Prom night yesterday and there were a lot of kids dressed up. There is airplane carrier in the harbor, I think you can visit but yesterday there was something special going on so it was closed. : (

Well thats it. There isn't much news going on this weekend. I hope this week I'll be able to see Star Wars... : )

TV: Star Wars

More information on the two Star Wars TV show:
The life action show is going to be 100 episodes and an hour each!
That's amazing to see this kind of commitment.

And about the 3D animated show:
"The TV series, the animated TV series called 'Clone Wars' is about the clone wars. Some of it has been on the Cartoon Network, but we're making it into an actual half hour, 3D animation series, and the other one deals with minor characters. And the time period is between episode 3 and episode 4, that 20-year stretch, but the characters aren't any of the main characters that are in the movies."

Personal: Life Is A Bitch

Wow I've been slacking off! Sorry guys, I've been busy. And now I'll be a lot more busy, the job is sending me out to California for an "undisclosed" amount of time. Technically I should get back next Saturday, the day of a party with the whole gang, one day after I'm supposed to go see Star Wars with the gang, 3 days after I'm supposed to go see the premier of Star Wars with my cousin and 3 days after a big BBQ at work with activities during the whole afternoon, a BBQ that I'm organizing but won't even be present for. I'm very sad about all of this. Life's a bitch!

So if anybody want a ticket for the premier on Wednesday night at midnight, I have a ticket. It's for the theater in Laval.

Cool: The pneumatic vacuum elevator

Yesterday I was at Price Club (Costco) with a friend of mine and we were talking about the vacuum tubes they use there to send the money to a secured location in the building. And now today, I find an elevator that a human can use just like the money. This is way too cool! Rik, you need to get one for your place!

You can see an image here.

Game of the Week: Heavy Weapon (late)
