Cool: Lego Factory

This is really a cool idea: you download a 3D software from LEGO, you design your own LEGO kit, send it to them and receive the kit in the mail. Very nice.

Google: Google Chat

Wow, Google has been busy these past few days. First Google Desktop and now Google Talk, a MSN Messenger like application.

First of all, this application only does voice and chat, but it does it well. I actually really like this application because it’s just very simple, no bells and whistle, but it does what it does really well.

I hate MSN Messenger because it’s just do big. There’s too much things in that application. In Google Talk you won’t even see any emoticons. Now that’s bare bone!

Try it out, it’s worth it. Anyways, in the help, they do mention that they will be adding features.

Google: Google Desktop Sidebar

Google just came out with a new version of their Google Desktop, now with a shiny new sidebar application. It’s actually really nice and I’ve been using it for a couple of days now.

One thing that I do not like, is the email module. I wish there was a way of removing all of the email entries with one push of a button and not one by one.

One thing that has impressed me was the Web Clip module. Basically an RSS reader but it actually adds RSS entries itself by detecting the websites you go too. The thing is, some of the websites that it detected their RSS feeds automatically, I’ve been trying to find their feeds for a long time.

Anyways, it’s worth trying. Oh, you don’t need to have the sidebar if you don’t want to, you can just have the same Google Desktop search module.

Website: Verifications For Comments

Now, if you want to leave a comment, you will be asked to use the word verification system. Basically all you need to do is write the word in the image.

I know this sucks, but in the last 2 hours, I’ve received 6 spam comments and it pisses me off. Anyways, I’ve had almost no comments on this blog, so I don’t think this change will piss off too many people. : )

WoW: Warlock Quest From Hell

What the hell was Blizzard thinking sending a level 20 Warlock deep into contested territory? I've never been killed so many times! It was bad. And the worst part is, I didn't even find the guy I was looking for. He was supposed to be near a broken down wagon in the Wetlands but there was only a level 25 farmer. Not the guy I was looking for.

Man it was hell. A character by the name of Valu tried to help us but all was in vain as a town near where we were was just raided and there was a lot of high level Alliance. In the end, they were camping near our dead bodies. Hell, complete hell. The worse is, we must've been trying to do this quest like for an hour and a half, and all for nothing.

I want to thank my cousin (Gemmu) and (Valu) for their help. It's just a shame that it did not end well. I'll try tomorrow morning when, I'm hoping there will be less people from the Alliance there.

WoW: My Addiction To World Of Warcraft

I don’t call myself a gamer. Yes I play games, I played a lot when I was a kid, but really, when I would hit a problem, I would abandon the game and move to another. I never really had the patience to stick to a game and finish it. I can count the number of games I have finished on one hand!

So when I tried WoW, I though to myself “Ok, this is going to end in a week or so and that will be it”. But no, I am totally addicted to this game. Why is that? Well, since it’s an online game, there is always a couple of hundred people on our server at anytime. If ever I get stuck somewhere, I can just ask for help and thats it. I also have a couple of friends playing this game with me. It’s always more fun to play with friends then alone.

I don’t know how long my addiction will last but I don’t see the end of it yet. It’s so bad that I’m currently trying to see when I could play this game the next couple of days because my mom is coming for the weekend. I’m thinking, once she goes to bed, I should be able to get a couple of hours of gaming.

I now understand my friends addictions to this game. I thought they were just mega gamers but I’m not one and I’m as addicted to this game as they are.

Comic: Fantastic Four/Iron Man: Big In Japan

A new four-issue series debuting in October.

In Seth Fisher’s own words, “FF4 + Iron Man in Japan = A really fun book.”

Mostly what I want to do is broaden the fictionality of my characters. You know, like make the characters less believable rather than more. So they really start to spark your imagination.”

OIA: Chocolate of Love

August 11 was Tanabata (Star Festival) in Taiwan, called Chinese Lover’s Day, and celebrated the “real” way — on the seventh day of the seventh month.

And what better way to mark the day than some heart-shaped chocolate cakes, with couples showing their love for each other, on display at a local bakery.”
