Megatron Pictures

Ya baby this rocks! The only thing is that I thought he was going to be a tank... Oh well, still very nice. Enjoy!

Molyneux's warning

"Peter Molyneux, the legendary game designer responsible for games like Populous, Theme Park and The Movies, has issued a warning to future games designers regarding the new motion sensing control pads - that gamers may be too lazy to use them!"

I have to agree with him, most gamers are lazy and might enjoy swinging the Wii controller for an hour or two but after that, they might get tired of it and stop playing...

Optimus Mini in the wild

The Optimus 3-key OLED Keyboard is an interesting device. At first it started as a full blown keyboard with every key having an OLED screen which could change it's image depending on the currently working app.

Since then, it has changed (mostly because of cost) to this, a 3 key keyboard. I wish we could get the full keyboard but we'll have to make do with this.

It's nice but I wonder if it's really useful and not just a fun gizmo to play with for a while...

More Touchscreen technology: TouchLight

Microsoft, not wanting to be left behind have demonstrated a new technology called TouchLight. Using cameras, they can detect where the user touches the screen.

It's a really cool demo because it does something that the others don't, high-res scanning right on the screen.

Nintendo DS Homebrew report

A really nice article explaining everything involved in the DS homebrew world with examples of games written for the DS.

Some of these games look really good!

How to draw a head

Nice tutorial on how to draw a head.

YouTube for videogames

Microsoft will be releasing a toned down version of their software suite, XNA Game Studio, for the masses. It will only cost 99$ per year and you'll be able to create content for the XBox360! This is great news for home developers or hobbyists.

I believe that this will unlock so many new original and unique games. There are some great games on the web right now and to be able to bring them to the XBox360 is just a great.

I'm anxious to see how it turns out and I'm sure it will help to sell more units.

New features for Blogger

Blogger is now in beta with a new and improved system. Here's a little list of new features:

  • Privacy
  • Tags
  • Drag and drop

Not very innovating as most other blogging sites have these features already. But it will be a nice upgrade once it's here.

Here is a more in-dept look into the new features of Blogger.

From the ashes of E3 comes E3Expo

It's dead, well not exactly. E3 as we know it is dead, but a new expo will emerge for next year called E3Expo. A smaller, more intimate version of E3.
Apparently it will become a kinder, gentler, "more intimate" trade show after E3 sought counseling and found itself to suffer from severe cases of ADD, Tourette's, and harbor deep-rooted antisocial tendencies.

ESA confirms E3's dead, long live E3Expo - Engadget
