Cool: Mind-reading machine knows what you see
Scientist have managed to make a machine which knows what you are seeing. By doing some tests and showing two patterns, but the first one being shown for only 15 milliseconds, the user does not even register the image but the brain does register it and the scientist knows from the machine which pattern was shown!
Very interesting article.

Movie: Live Action Evangelion Concept Art
There are concept arts on the Weta Workshop website. One thing that I found on their website is that the movie is on hold? I didn't hear anything about this...
Star Wars: More To Come?
Now this is quite some news. It seems that George Lucas has mentioned that there will be two TV shows of Star Wars! You've read right, two (2); one will be a 3D animated series and the other will be a live action.
Wow, I can't wait to see how that will turn out, better than the Holiday Special I hope!

Gaming: PSP vs all consoles!
There is a long Final Fantasy parody of the PSP vs all other consoles. It's not bad, but it is long, it's at least half an hour!
It's well made, it has some nice jokes and animation. It's worth to at least watch the fight.

TV: Battlestar Galactica Season 2 In July
July 15, it's a Friday, and you'll want to stay home to watch the beginning of season 2 of Battlestar Galactica! That's right folks, Enterprise might be dead, but BG is not! God a good thing that the new season is coming up soon. I'm already getting syndromes of withdrawals!
Movie: He-Man? The Rock? John Woo?
Man this morning was quite weird, I'm reading the morning news and then I see a headline: The Rock to play He-Man? Man I was not even aware that there was a He-Man movie. I definitely did not know that John Woo would be directing this movie.
I have to say, I'm not sure about this. I don't know if I should be happy, I mean He-Man was a big part of my childhood, that and Transformers, but man, I don't know how they could do a good movie of the "Master of the Universe". It was good when I was a kid because I did not understand anything. I've seen some episodes of the remake and let me tell you, it sucks! I truly don't know who would go see this movie.
Anyways, we'll have to wait and see. In the show, there is this cute sorceress, hey, it might save the movie.

Cool: Tetris Bookshelf
This is just amazing and simple and it's something I should've thought of! Can you think of the possibilities! I think I would change it's configuration everyday! I just couldn't resist playing with it! The only problem, it seems they are very expensive, $7k for 10 pieces! Yikes! I still want some! : )

Movie: Star Wars Revelations
Fans of Star Wars are making an impressive short movie in the Star Wars universe called Star Wars: Revelations. The effects are pretty well made and the acting is so-so but it's still impressive what one can do now with computer graphics! The full movie should be up by Monday.
There is even a manga being done by a Japanese manga artist!

Cool: Beaming Information To The Brain
Ever wanted to play a video game and get sensory information (smell, taste even touch) from it? Sony thinks so, they have a patent of a device for transmitting sensory information directly to the brain by ultrasound!
Sounds very far-fetched but other scientist think it's plausible. We will just have to wait and see if it ever comes true.

Cool: Bionic Suit Offers Wearers Super-Strength
This is quite cool, it's an exo-skeleton which will help it's wearer walk or lift heavy objects. This is a 10 year project by Yoshiyuki Sankai of the University of Tsukuba in Japan.
I had seen other similar bionics but they where bigger than this one. The image is of HAL 3 (hybrid assistive limb) but HAL 4 and HAL 5 have even smaller computers and batteries, making them even slimmer!

Cool: Land Walker Robot
This is cool, it's a real working mech built by Sakakibara Kikai. This robot is nice and resembles a lot like the mechs in BattleMech universe. It's not very fast and does not really walk but instead glides. But hey, at least it's moving! There is also a video of it.

Movie: Sin City Review
This movie rock!
I couldn't even imagine how good this movie is. It's @#$%^ good! I was glued to my seat and transfixed at the beautiful images on the screen. This has to be one of the best movies I've seen in a long time.
I was not the only one who thought this movie was good... I went to see it with 2 of my friends on opening night. We wanted to go for 10:30pm and one of my friend got there 1h beforehand to grab the tickets and get in line. Well he only got tickets; it was already sold out. So we exchanged them for the midnight presentation. Even at that hour, there was a pretty big line 1h before it started.
I have to say, I haven't seen many "film noir" but this one was one of the best I've seen. Just seeing it in black and white with some splashes of colors is just so comic like. There was scenes where I'm sure you could have the comic book beside the movie and it would be the same image found on both mediums. The dialog is just great, I loved Marv, he had the best one liners!
I would recommend this movie!
Score: A+

Cool: Bloglines
Found this last week and it's now my favorite way of getting my news. It's basically an RSS reader on the internet. At first I was afraid since I tried a couple of these and was really disapointed. But this one really works like the way I wanted it. It even comes with a little system tray application that lets you know when there is new news to read. Very nice.
